The local television cooking show, Plate Night, is making a return this week with a bit of a modern twist.

"We're launching this Thursday and the program will only be viewable online," said host Bill Keeler.  "New episodes will go live every Thursday at noon on all of Townsquare Media's websites: WIBX950.com, BigFrog104.com, 961WODZ.com, and Lite987.com - and people will be able to watch on demand whenever they feel like it."

Plate Night features a new restaurant from the greater Utica area every week.  Chefs show host Bill Keeler how to make two dishes, both of which will be available on their menu for a week so viewers can visit the restaurant for a sample.  Recipes will also be posted online so people can try to make the dish at home.

"The fact that the show is being promoted on all four Town Square radio stations gives us a chance to reach more viewers than ever before," said Keeler.  "This also gives these local restaurants a chance to reach new customers like never before."

Keeler added that at a time when new opportunities like nano tech and drone testing are on the horizon, "this show gives us a chance to really show off the area's biggest attribute -  our food."

This show's first featured restaurant is the Fairways Restaurant at the Mohawk Valley Country Club in Little Falls.  Chef William Pettengill will be making Chicken Scarp ala Pizzo

and Steak Au Poivre.  These dishes will be on the specials board at the Fairways Restaurant through this Sunday.  The restaurant overlooks the golf course at the Mohawk Valley Country Club and is now open seven days a week.  Reservations can be made by calling 315-508-5128.

The Fairways episode will go live this Thursday at noon.
