Local Memorial Day Services And Parades Today
Hopefully the weather will cooperate for numerous Memorial Day services and parades today. Today we salute those who have paid the price, the ultimate sacrifice serving our country, and those serving today.

Here’s a rundown of Memorial Day events today, according to our sister station, WIBX:
“We remember and salute all of our veterans this holiday weekend. Here is a list of the parades and events taking place throughout the region today.

New York Mills Memorial Day Parade

Sponsored by Utica Post 229 and the City of Utica, wreath-laying Ceremonies begin at 11:00am at the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in Oneida Square. The group then moves, in the following order, to: the Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Parkway, Purple Heart Park in West Utica, and the All Veterans Memorial at Utica’s Main Post Office on Pitcher Street.
12:00noon
Hastings Parish VFW Memorial Day Service
Ceremonies begin at 12:00noon at Hastings Cemetery on Route 11 in Hastings. Refreshments will be served at VFW Post #8823 on Route 45 following the ceremony.
Note that wreath-laying ceremonies commence at 11:00am.

Utica Memorial Day Parade
7:00pm
New Hartford Memorial Day Parade and Open House at the New Hartford Fire Department
The parade begins promptly at 7:00 and leaves from the New Hartford Shopping Center, proceeding north on Genesee Street, turning right onto Pearl Street, left on Sanger Avenue, and left onto Oxford Road, ending at the Fire Station.
