Local Beers Earn International Medals
May 30, 2012 1:10 PM You know that I have a keen interest in what’s going on at the F.X. Matt Brewing Company, as a former Utica Club Tour Guide. And we’ve just learned that brewery has earned some prestigious honors for their quality beers (Schultz and Dooley would be proud).
According to our sister station, WIBX:
“It was quite a haul for the F.X. Matt Brewing Company “down under.”
The brewery won seven medals at the Australian International Beer Awards in Melbourne.
Beers winning medals included Saranac Pale Ale, White IPA, Saranac Adirondack Lager and Utica Club.
The F.X. Matt Brewery has won 33 medals at the prestigious beer event since 2007. This year, the AIBA received 1,344 entries from 259 breweries representing 41 countries.”
