European Union Dairy Farmers are out of the barn and on the streets.  They're protesting the lifting of a "30 year quota" on the amount of milk being produced.  According to Yahoo News!, small farmers are worried about declining prices.

The EU hope is to be become more competitive with the US and Australia for the increasing world milk prices.  But many small farmers say a "30% drop in prices" has them struggling to survive.

In what they see as a power-grab by the big conglomerates, Deknudt and his colleagues booed and blew horns as they set fire to the company flags. Black smoke wafted high into the air in front of the EU parliament building.

The story even quotes one farmer as saying his son is changing "the farm from producing milk to growing potatoes."  Here's the entire article.
