If you want to head up to the famous Lake Placid Olympic center in Lake Placid New York you better stop at the right brewery and pup for drinks and that's the Lake Placid Pub & Brewery. They are one of our many featured breweries for Utica On Tap, here's a little history on them.

Opening it's doors for the first time in 1996, since then nothing but great beer and great memories have been made by Lake Placid. Since the first days, they have brewed almost 80 different styles of beer and serve up almost 300,000 pints of beer annually.

It began, like many microbreweries, with a homebrew kit and a love of beer. Not just a love of drinking beer but a real respect for the craft, the history, the art, and the industry, as well as a passion for the brewing process itself."

Today, Lake Placid Pub & Brewery continue to brew award-winning ales and lagers. They will also be at Utica on Tap on March 22nd. Here's a look at the beers they will be bringing:

Lake Placid I.P.A.

This beer has 6.8% ABV, 67 IBU, and 21 SRM. This brew is Lake Placid's tribute to West Coast-style IPA’s. It's aggressively hopped for a citrus and piney flavor and aroma, but you'll still enjoy a bready malt backbone.

Nippletop Milk Stout

This beer has a 4.9% ABV. This is Lake Placid's version of a milk stout.

A milk stout is simply a stout brewed with an addition of Lactose, a non-fermentable milk sugar, used to create sweetness and a fuller body and mouthfeel in the beer.

This will be the sweetest stout you'll find from out friends. It's a very full bodied beer.

UBU Ale

This beer has a 7.0% ABV, 38 IBU, and 43 SRM. This brew has a deep garnet red in color, and features dark fruit and roasted malt flavors. You'll even enjoy a slightly bitter finish.
