The National Weather Service is revising a Lake Effect Snow Advisory.  Originally forecast for just western Oneida County tomorrow afternoon, it's now updated to be in effect from 10 a.m. this morning through tomorrow for all of Oneida County.  Click for details.

* TIMING...LIGHT LAKE EFFECT SNOW SHOWERS WILL CONTINUE THROUGH
  EARLY AFTERNOON. FROM LATE AFTERNOON THROUGH TONIGHT A MORE
  ORGANIZED AND INTENSE BAND OF LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL MOVE INTO
  THE AREA. IT WILL BE DURING THIS TIME... FROM THIS AFTERNOON
  THROUGH TONIGHT... THAT THE HEAVIEST SNOWFALL WILL OCCUR.

* ACCUMULATIONS...A COATING TO AN INCH THROUGH NOON TODAY. 2 TO 6
  INCHES FROM NOON TODAY THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY MORNING. THE
  HIGHEST AMOUNTS OF SNOW WILL OCCUR OVER THE WESTERN END OF  THE COUNTY TOWARD ONEIDA LAKE AND THE BORDER WITH OSWEGO AND  MADISON COUNTIES. THIS INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO PLACES SUCH  AS JEWELL, THE NORTH AND EASTERN SHORES OF ONEIDA LAKE, SYLVAN  BEACH, VERONA, AND SHERRILL.

* IMPACTS...DIFFICULT TRAVEL AT TIMES DUE TO GREATLY REDUCED
  VISIBILITIES AND SNOW COVERED ROADS.
