Lainey's Army is marching to Albany to change animal abuse legislation. The army began after a dog in Camden, named Lainey was starved almost to death and died of re-feeding syndrome. Founder Kim Strong says their mission is to change the laws in New York state and get Justice For Laney.

Strong says the current laws 'aren't clear enough for our law enforcement and district attorney's to be able to prosecute people who abuse animals. We want the laws of New York State to represent how we feel today, not how people felt in 1920 when these laws were written.' Strong and her army are pushing for the passage of the Consolidated Animal Crimes Bill passed

Strong and her army are marching 110 miles over 11 days, from Rome to Albany in the rain and cold weather, all while carrying a chain. "Its the chain for change," she says. The group will arrive in the Capitol on Marcy 24th for Humane Lobby Day.
