Kix Brooks Debut Single Due In March

When Brooks and Dunn called it a career last year most people assumed–correctly–that Ronnie Dunn would go on as a solo recording artist. However the future for Kix Brooks was not so clear. Now , according to his website, it appears that Kix will kick off his own solo career with the release of a new single called “New To This Town”. The song features a very special guest artist. Joe Walsh of the Eagles plays guitar on the track which means that there will definitely be some rockin’ going on. As for the song’s theme Kix says,
“It paints the powerful emotion we’ve all known, of lost love and the uncomfortable situation of running in to that person again.”

Although Ronnie Dunn was thought of as “the voice” of Brooks and Dunn Kix was the featured lead vocalist on some of their songs including the hits “You’re Gonna Miss me When I’m Gone” and “Rock My World”.
