Alzheimer's disease robs people of their memory and sense of self. Recent studies have found that music helps people re-connect with their memories and allows them to become more open and communicative and that's where Kenny Chesney comes into the picture.

Kenny has teamed up with "Music and Memory" a group that, according to GAC, collects iPods and similar music players and distributes them to those suffering from dementia. He recently recorded a public service announcement to publicize the effort.

Check out this poignant video of an Alzheimer's patient using one of the music devices.
