Sunny weather must be around the corner, now that we've kicked off the Frog Days of Summer with Kayuta Lake Campground.  Tadpole and I enjoyed spending time with the campers Saturday and got to judge the chicken riggies contest.  ConFROGulations to Michelle Miles of Frankfort who made the spicest and most flavorful chicken riggies I've ever tasted.  She took home the coveted pot award and a first place ribbon.

The campground is family and pet friendly.  We brought our dog, and although she was scared of every dog at the park she loved to run around and be outside.  She was even scared of one dog who was no bigger than my foot.  She's such a baby!

There is a beautiful beach for the kids to play and swim, plus canoe and kayak rentals.  There's an arcade for the kids as well and themed weekends with parades and live entertainment.  If you're more of a sports person, they have basketball, volleyball, bocce ball, ladder golf and shuffle board.

The owners and campers are so friendly, it's almost like a home away from home.  And don't forget, if you're not a camper, like myself, you can stay the weekend in a cabin, complete with your own bathroom, kitchen with a microwave and even a TV.  Thanks to everyone who made us feel welcome.  We're looking forward to our next visit.
