Star of 'The Office' John Krasinski made local headlines when he visited Little Falls earlier this year scouting locations for a film. There's no word yet on whether that movie will shoot scenes in Little Falls, but it looks like one NY town will play a key role.

According to the Poughkeepsie Journal, Krasinski and his team from Paramount Pictures have chosen New Paltz, and their Wallkill Valley Rail Trail bridge to film a few scenes.

The bridge itself could be an important piece of the film. While it isn't clear what the movie is, IMDB.com says Krasinski is currently in the pre-production stages of a film called 'A Quiet Place.'

The movie is a thriller, and based on a casting call that was released earlier this month, will center around a deaf child.

The Poughkeepsie Journal says filming in New Paltz was locked down on Thursday night when the Town Board approved Paramount Pictures' permit unanimously.

The scenes in New Paltz will be shot in October, and Town Police will be on hand to assist.
