Jimmy Rose Stuns ‘America’s Got Talent’ Judges With Original Song ‘Coal Keeps the Light On’

Jimmy Rose is a Marine vet who’s working as a coal miner.  He wrote a country song called ‘Coal Keeps the Lights On’ and sang it on ‘America’s Got Talent.’  He blew all four judges away and probably most of America.  He sailed through to the next round in Las Vegas.

I’ll be keeping an eye on Jimmy.  We may be playing him on the radio in the near future. As well as Illusionist Leon Etienne from Utica who made it to Vegas and Kenichi Ebina, the guy who does dance-ish.  He can dance like no one else I’ve ever seen.

Lauren Alaina: I Was Rejected Twice by ‘America’s Got Talent’ [VIDEO]

NBC Though she didn’t win ‘American Idol’ season, 16-year-old runner-up Lauren Alaina is apparently used to rejection. The Rossville, GA, native revealed Thursday on ‘The Tonight Show With Jay Leno’ that she had previously tried out twice for ‘America’s Got Talent,’ and was shown the door both times.
