I'd like to thank Jim Roberts. He grew up on a farm all his life. His father brought a farm but they was a really poor family when they started. They didn't have any farm equipment. They had to wait until another farmer in the area was done with their farm work so they could use the equipment to get the work done.

Jim was one of thirteen kids and married Tammy Roberts. They had fourteen kids. I'm their daughter Siena. I know how much my dad works to keep the farm going so he won't lose it and all the work he has put into it to get it to the way it is today.

Last year we just barely fed the cows because our round bails caught fire and burned half of them. He has about 80 or more cows on the farm. He uses the cows for the meat and sells it to people in the area. My dad also is a logger on the farm and has a sawmill and splits wood for people we need it. He also has chickens and turkeys. You can tell he loves what he does when he is at the farm and taking care of the animals. He just has a look in his eyes, like this is the life.

No matter what happens to him he will always want his farm. He was very sick a few years ago because of his lungs and the dust on the farm. We almost lost him. He's 53 years old now and only weighs about 130. He's so much into farming that he skips meals everyday.

My dad never has much time with the farm. But he has been there for all of us kids and raised us with our mother.  We even celebrated our first wedding in the family three years ago.
