Jim Broniszewski – Thank a Farmer

We’ve teamed up with Whites Farm Supply, Case IH and James Wesley to ‘Thank a Farmer.' One farmer will win a $2500 White's Farm Supply gift certificate and a personal phone call from Wesley to 'Thank a Farmer. Today we recognize the Jim Broniszewski nominated by his wife, Kelly Broniszewski. 

I would like to thank a farmer! My husband, Jim Broniszewski is the hardest working man I know. With a full time job, we bought his grandparents farm in 2007 with hopes of reestablishing and sharing this beautiful farm with friends, family and the community. My husband single handedly spent countless hours cleaning up this farm for three years and slowly but surely starting our small beef business all while working a full time job at Johnny Appleseed Farm Ltd. In Nelson, New York.

He never complains about the hard work and countless hours he spends fixing equipment so that he can get the hay in. With our children growing up and moving on, its becoming more and more difficult to get the work done with old broke down equipment. I see the stress on his face day in and day out but never hear it come out of his mouth. He loves this farm for more reasons than just to put food on the table. He loves this farm because he was raised here, with his grandparents and his grandfather Jim Blowers was his mentor and the man who taught him all he knows today.

We have been trying to get our farm going to help our community be able to buy quality, affordable beef and veggies from a local farmer who knows what the consumer wants and knows the struggles of putting food on the table.
