I remember going to a Colin Raye show at the Stanley a few years ago and being taken by surprise when he finished his set with a rocking version of Rod Stewart's "Hot Legs". Country and rock have often been fused to form the hybrid known as "country-rock" and now Jason Aldean is planning to mine this territory on his new tour.

The tour, which started Friday in North Little Rock, Arkansas plans to utilize a huge "rock" style stage with plenty of ramps and sound equipment.

"We wanted to have a rock n' roll vibe to it," Jason admits. "I don't know how many amps we have up there but it looks like a Metallica show and that's what we wanted. It's cool."

Adding to the rock 'n' roll feel is Jason's version of Bon Jovi's 'Dead or Alive,' which is the one cover tune they plan to include in the mix.

So far no New York State dates have been announced but stay tuned as further shows are sure to be added.
