Jamie O’Neal Forms Own Record Company [VIDEO]

Just as we were about to put Jamie O’Neal into our “Whatever Happened To” file there comes word that she has formed her own record label, Momentum Label Group. According to her website Jamie–whose hits earlier in the decade included “There Is No Arizona” and “When I Think About Angels”–has teamed up with a number of experienced music industry veterans who share her interest in finding and developing fresh new talent.
“I’m so excited about this amazing opportunity,” says O’Neal. “I’ve had my own studio for many years, and being a part of the creative process has always been one of my favorite things about the music business. By having our own label, we can now help introduce the world to some exceptionally talented new artists.”
Jamie, a native Australian, has had her own studio for years and considers this venture a logical “next step”. For those country music newcomers who might need a little history lesson check out her video for “There Is No Arizona”, a number one hit for Jamie in 2001.
