It’s The Wearin’ And Sharin’ Of The Green
As my dear old Irish father used to say, “There are two kinds of Irish – those that are, and those that want to be”. This Saturday, everybody is Irish as it’s St. Patrick’s Day, and many of us will be wearin’ of the green.
The weather forecast looks great for Saturday’s parades, with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the 60s. The Utica St. Patrick’s Day Parade begins at 10 a.m. on Genesee Street (look for the Big Frog 104 van with Jeremiah and friends), while the Syracuse parade starts at 12 noon. There are many other local celebrations going on, and if you feel adventurous, you can head down to the “Big Apple” for the New York City St. Patrick’s Day Parade starting at 11 a.m.
However you observe St. Patrick’s Day, please celebrate responsibly and make sure you have a designated driver. “Top of the mornin’ to you, and the rest of the day as well.”
