It’s Elvis Presley’s Birthday [VIDEO]

He was "The King of Rock and Roll", "Elvis the Pelvis" and the "Tupelo, Mississippi Flash". He was many things to many people but, above all, he was an American icon. Elvis Presley was born on January 8, 1935 and took the world by storm before his 20th birthday. Sadly, he passed away at age 42 in 1977. There have been postage stamps depicting the "young" Elvis and the "old" Elvis but this is the way I care to remember him.http://youtu.be/O27GrgyOYRg

One can only wonder what Elvis would be like today at 77. My guess is if he had gotten his life back on track he would have come back strong and still have been a concert force to this day. There are several commemorative celebrations scheduled for Memphis this weekend to mark the occasion.
