It’s Adolphus Busch’s Birthday – Do You Remember Your First Beer?

Wikipedia.com

If you already know today  is Adolphus Busch’s birthday, then you are a serious beer drinker. The German-born co-founder of the Anheuser-Busch company was born into a very thirsty world on this day in 1839.

Busch was the first brewer in the U.S. to use pasteurization to keep beer fresh, the first to use refrigerated railroad cars and the first to bottle beer extensively. He was married to the daughter of Eberhard Anheuser and had 13 kids. Not surprising, considering he was around beer all day and night.
