Is There Life Out There?
February 23, 2011 10:10 AM Many of us do believe that we are not alone, and that there is intelligent life out there in the cosmos. I believe there is, but one of my heroes, the late Dr. Carl Sagan said: “Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.”
“According to a survey of 1000 Americans, almost two-thirds believe that life exists on other planets, and 90% say if we receive a message from another planet we should reply. The survey — conducted for the SETI Institute and National Geographic Channel — also found that 80% of Americans think it is likely that the intelligent life forms on other planets are more advanced than us and 70% think it is likely that these life forms have the technology to travel through space.”
