Is Donald Trump really the most popular person in Upstate New York? He thinks so.

Trump told CNN's Jake Tapper after winning the South Carolina primary election, "(In) Upstate New York, I'm like the most popular person that's ever lived, virtually. Upstate New York. They're great friends of mine."

Does the Donald realize there is way more to New York state than the city, where he was born. Upstate New York is a BIG place with a LOT of popular celebrities who've come from the area.

Lucille Ball - Jamestown
Tom Cruise - Syracuse
Richard Gere - Syracuse
Dick Clark - SU alum
Jerry Seinfeld - SUNY Oswego
John Walsh - Auburn
Kevin James - SUNY Cortland
Tom Kenny/SpongeBob - Syracuse
L Frank Baum - Chittenango
Annette Funicello - Utica
Kirk Douglas - Amsterdam
Baldwin brothers - Syracuse

Is Trump more popular than Lucille Ball, one of the most beloved actress of her time? More loved than Syracuse University alum Dick Clark? Better than SpongeBob, aka Tom Kenny, who was also born in Syracuse. What about L Frank Baum, the man behind 'The Wizard of Oz," who wrote “Some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don't you think?” We think Trump talks a LOT and we should pay no attention to the man behind the podium. Vote for the politician who will do the best job not the one who talks the loudest and thinks a LOT about him or herself.

What do you think? Is Trump the most popular person that ever lived in Upstate New York?
