There have been a few glimpses of spring, the days of February are running out and now that a good deal of the snow is gone we've seen it. The number of things around the homestead that are going to need attention. Seems like the perfect time for the annual Home Builders & Remodelers of the Mohawk Valley’s Home Show.

The show began in 1994 and as it's grown over 24 years, it's become much more than just contractors, home builders and remodelers hawking their wares. This year's show will feature several informative sessions and events.

  • How to stage and market your home for selling
  • Choosing the right realtor and mortgage for buying a home
  • The difference in home inspections and appraisals
  • International building show trends

In addition to the many vendors, the Home Show will have MVCC nursing students blood pressure screenings, presentations from the Utica Fire and Police Departments. And while it may not be a reason to attend the home show, it's certainly a huge plus, food trucks will be outside Saturday and Sunday serving a great selection of foods.

Home Show 2018 is at MVCC's Jorgensen Athletic Center Friday, March 9 through Sunday, March 11.  Hours are 9 - 5 p.m. Friday, Saturday 10 - 7 p.m. and Sunday 11 - 4 p.m. Admission is $5, kids 12 and under are free. Get a $1 off coupon and more details at the Home Builders website.
