“Honey Boo Boo” Family Pulling In Big Bucks

Although it might sound like pocket change to the Kardashians the “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” family of Alana Thompson is making her signature line “A dollar make me holler” sound like a loud roar. The Huffington Post reports that Alana and family are bringing in $2,000 to $4,000 per episode meaning between $20,000 to $40,000 for the 10-episode season. A nice raise could be in the offing if the show is picked up for a second season. However in the world of reality TV, “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo” is a relative bargain. Check out the paychecks for other reality celebs.
The Duggars of “18 Kids and Counting” are believed to have raked in even more, between $25,000 and $40,000 for four or five days’ work.
Jon and Kate Gosselin of TLC’s “Jon & Kate Plus 8,” which first aired in 2007, earned $22,500 per episode
Those Real Housewives are pulling in the dough. On the high end, Real Housewives of Orange County veteran Vicki Gunvalson earns $450,000 per season.
The highest paid reality TV stars are, of course, the Kardashians. The family just signed a deal for $30 million to star in three more seasons of E!’s Keeping Up With The Kardashians.

Of course not all reality show stars hit the jackpot. The alligator hunters of “Swamp People” are at the mercy of the alligator hide market which can vary widely.
