Hometown Tuesday Spotlight – Illion
Each Tuesday we’re putting the spotlight on a local community and today we’re heading to Illion in Herkimer County, home to a major nationwide company and a MLB baseball player.
The community began to flourish around 1816 when Eliphalet Remington created his first gun, which would later grow into the Remington Arms company. Remington Arms the oldest company in the United States which still makes its original product, and is the oldest continuously operating manufacturer in North America.
