What could be a historic winter storm, won't hit Central New York for a change. It's rare for us to watch the snow fall all around us. Usually everyone else is watching it fall ON us. This storm will impact the Mid Atlantic to Southern New England. Blizzard warnings are in effect in Virginia, Washington DC, Philadelphia and New York City. Winter storm warnings and advisories have been issued from the Tennessee Valley to the Ohio Valley over to the Carolinas, the mid Atlantic and southern New England. There are even Coastal flood warnings from Virginia to Massachusetts.

Up to 2 feet of snow is expected from eastern Kentucky to New Jersey. Washington, DC and Baltimore could see over 2 feet. Central New York can enjoy partly sunny skies and temperatures in the mid twenties for the weekend, while everyone around us is digging out from under all that snow.

Reed Timmer posted a video of the intense snow already falling in Washington, DC on Twitter.

One guy in Washington, DC didn't let the snow covered roads stop him.
