Help Victims of Colorado’s Historci Flooding and See Photos & Video of the Devastation

15 inches of rain, in less than a week, in 15 counties of Colorado have forced the evacuation of almost 15,000 people. 6 people are believed to have died in the flood, 4 confirmed.  The rushing water and mud slides have destroyed 1,500 homes and damaged 17,000 more.

How to Help

Red Cross: If you would like to help, you can donate to the American Red Cross online, or give $10 by texting REDCROSS to 90999. Text messaging fees will be waived, and 100 percent of each donation goes directly to the Red Cross.

The Salvation Army: Donate online, call 1-800-725-2769 and designate 'Colorado Floods, text GIVEHOPEIM to 80888 to donate $10 to the Salvation Army or mail checks to: The Salvation Army P.O. Box 60006 Prescott,AZ 86304

President Obama signed a major disaster declaration, sending more federal aid to the region. The National Guard is helping local emergency officials and FEMA is on the way.
