Help Polly Wogg in Sitrin’s Stars & Stripes Run/Walk

It's that time of year again. The 2nd 'Sitrin's Stars & Stripes Run/Walk' at SUNYIT in Marcy is October 5th and again, I'll be walking to support our troops. You can walk with our team 'TownSquare Cares,' you can donate to support wounded warriors or send pictures of your soldiers below that we'll proudly display on our walk.

You can sign up yourself or sign up a team to walk or run. Registration is from 8am-9am October 5th at the SUNYIT campus center. The 5K wheelchair race kicks off at 9:15am, followed by the 5K run at 9:30am.  The 2 mile walk starts at 9:45am.  The goal this year is $70,000.

The fundraiser supports Sitrin’s military rehabilitation program which provides care for wounded warriors like Major Roberts, who had part of his spine removed and wasn’t able to walk until he started his rehabilitation program at Sitrin.

Everyone participating this year is also asked to bring a non-perishable item to help Feed Our Vets.

The first Stars & Stripes Run/Walk was more successful than anticipated, with over 500 people taking part, helping raise thousands for wounded warriors. Lets hope we can top that this year.
