We've all been there.  You're sitting in a club, trying to listen to the comedian on stage, when someone starts heckling from the crowd.  It's distracting and rude.  You don't see comedians going into a business and start heckling workers.  So why do people feel the need to throw in their two cents at a comic show?  And how do you deal with the heckler?  Take a page from Steve Hofstetter's book, who knows how its done.

Rich Vos, from the reality TV show Last Comic Standing and a our morning LOL moments, was being heckled recently at a Long Island City club.  The owner and fellow comedian, Steve Hofstetter, who has also been featured on the morning LOL moments, stepped in to toss the guy out. The heckler began swearing at and shoving Steve (who remarkably didn't lose his cool). Steve just escorted the belligerent drunk to the door.

There happened to be a documentary being shot at the club that night, so it's all on tape, reality show style. Aside from two big comedians teaming up, it is funny - and shows a comedy club actually handling things the right way.

Since it's a comedy club there is lots of swearing that has been bleeped.  If you want to watch the un-bleeped version click HERE.

Kudos to Rich Vos, Steve Hofstetter and teh club employees for handling the drunk without any fights and little disruption to the show. Let this be a lesson for anyone thinking of heckling a comedian.
