Head Lice, Cockroaches More Popular Than Congress

The U.S Congress has been taking its lumps lately with most public opinion polls showing it with some of the lowest approval ratings in history. Now comes word that our congressmen and women are less popular than head lice, root canals and cockroaches. A new survey by Public Policy Polling–done somewhat tongue in cheek–found that our representatives popularity pales in comparison to some other less than lovable subjects.
When asked which of the two they had a higher opinion of the responses were:
Congress or head lice? Congress 19%, head lice 67%
Congress or root canals? Congress 32%, root canals 56%
Congress or cockroaches? Congress 43%, cockroaches 45%
However there is some good news for Congress. They are more popular than some things.
Congress or the Kardashians? Congress 49%, Kardashians 36%
Congress or telemarketers? Congress 45%, telemarketers 35%
Congress or the ebola virus? Congress 53%, ebola virus 25%
