Go Fund Me Set Up For Marcy Corrections Officer Injured in Floyd Explosion

The community is coming together to help the Marcy corrections officer who was injured in an explosion in the Town of Floyd.

The 52 year-old man suffered burns after a package near his mailbox on Old Floyd Road Sunday morning May 29th exploded. He is in stable condition at Upstate University Medical Center in Syracuse but has a long road to recovery. The officers at Marcy Correctional Facility are collecting money and have started a Go Fund Me account for anyone who wants to donate.

"We are raising money to help cover medical expenses and to help our brothers family through this rough time. The identity of our brother is kept secret for his safety and his family's. Every penny donated will go to him for all the expenses he will endure."
