According to an article on Time.com, the Girl Scouts of America will be offering their delectable desserts through a mobile app or personalized website. Here's the catch, you need a specific invitation from the girl scout to access the online cookie store. It's actually a good thing. This will promote entrepreneurship and you will still have the satisfaction of helping a local Girl Scout Troop.

When asked why it took so long, chief communications executive for Girl Scouts of the USA Kelly M. Parisi said,

A lot of people have asked, ‘What took you so long to get online?’ We spend a lot of time thinking how do we make this safe, scalable and smart.

The way they have designed this online platform accomplishes all three of the concerns she mentions. So my recommendation is to find a local Girl Scout troop and make sure they have their online capabilities up and running ASAP because the best news of all is they can be shipped right to your door!
