It was a casual morning workout for the Marist College rowing team, when they came upon a giant  obstacle.  According to ABC News the crew and their coach found a large head just floating in the Hudson River.  Click to get details and video. 

ABC says the coach had the team wait while he approached the object in a small motorboat he was in while following the team.

While on the river Monday morning, crew coach Matt Lavin was the first to spot the mysterious 7-foot-high, fiberglass-covered head, which is 4 to 5 feet wide.
