It's been known for some time that the better feed the better the milk production.  In fact it's been show you can even save some costs on feed while still getting better production. Cornell Cooperative Extension's Winter Forage Meeting will show you how.

"Dairy Forage Profit 3.0 - Take Your Forage and Feeding Program to the Next Level" will be presented at 3 separate meetings across New York.

The focus of this seminar is to elevate the growing and feeding of forages beyond the parameters of tonnage, quality, and the basic high forage ration.

The meetings will present studies on newly developed forages that can save money on costs, increase milk production and improve nutrient management. There will even be a case study presentation that provides more specifics from the Bru-Mar Farms of Fort Plain.

One of the sessions will be held in New Hartford February 2nd at Daniele's Banquet Specialists 8360 Seneca Turnpike.  Earlier sessions will be held at State College, PA January 31 and Waterloo, NY February 1.  The cost is $50 and you receive a $100 seed certificate from the conference sponsor, King’s AgriSeeds.

Here are more details on the sessions and locations.  And you can register online or call 315-736-3394 ext. 132 for the New Hartford seminar.  For the session registration in Waterloo or State College call 717-687-6224.
