Many people think of crop fields and gardens when discussing healthy soil. But it's just as important in the pasture.  Cornell Cooperative Extension is hosting a pasture walk to highlight the importance.

The pasture walk is Friday, May 27 from 11:00 – 2:00 at Kevin Angel’s dairy 6830 Higginsville Rd. Durhamville.  Among the demonstrations will be the NY Grazing Coalitions’ Soil Health Trailer.  It will show participants how prescribed grazing impacts the productivity of paddocks and pasture areas. You will also get to inspect the farm's recent paddock improvements and rotational grazing plan.

Lunch will be provided and while the event is free, reservations are needed.  Lock up a spot by calling Oneida CCE 315-736-3394 extension 132.  More details at CCE's website.
