Get Free College Tuition By Helping Central New York Volenteer Fire Departments
The Firefighter’s Association is offering free college tuition for helping out local Volunteer Fire Departments. The program is open to new recruits and current volunteer firemen throughout New York.

The Firemen’s Association of the State of New York (FASNY) started the Higher Education Learning Plan (HELP) in 2011, in hopes of offseting the decline in volunteer firefighters. It’s available to students all ready enrolled in classes for the spring semester of for those planning to go to school.
an individual who doesn’t have a college degree, or has not taken 80 or more lifetime college credits, can have up to 100% of his/her tuition reimbursed in exchange for maintaining good grades and fulfilling service requirements in one of New York’s volunteer fire companies. There is no restriction on the type of academic course(s) that the FASNY HELP student/volunteer can pursue on a full-time or part-time basis.
The deadline to apply for tuition assistance is February 15. You can get more information on the program by calling (855) 367-6933, E-mail: HELP@fasny.com or visit them online here.
