The CMA Awards are about so much more than the awards. The show was packed with great entertainment again this year, including a touching tribute to the late George Jones from George Strait and Alan Jackson. Here's our top performances of the night.

1. George Strait, Alan Jackson Tribute to George Jones

George Strait and Alan Jackson shared the stage to pay tribute to the late George Jones. Those two voices blended beautifully to honor The Possum with 'He Stopped Loving Her Today.'  The performance highlight of the night.

2. Taylor Swift, Vince Gill, Alison Krauss 'Red'

Taylor Swift stripped down her current hit 'Red' with Vince Gill and Alison Krauss. I actually preferred the acoustic version of the song and Vince and Alison sounded fantastic.

3. Luke Bryan 'Drink A Beer'

Luke Bryan's touching tribute to his brother Chris and sister Kelly, whom he lost in 1996 and 2007 showed his softer side and brought a tear to my eyes.

4. Keith Urban, Miranda Lambert 'We Were Us'

Keith Urban and Miranda Lambert looked and sounded amazing on 'We Were Us.'

5.Carrie Underwood Medley

Carrie Underwood proved her voice is a beautiful and as she is. She sang not one but four of her hits and looked fabulous while performing. I wonder how many hours a day she works to get her legs looking that good!

6. Little Big Town 'Sober'

The CMA Group of the Year has some of the best harmonies in country music. Little Big Town stripped down their current single 'Sober,' complete with candles. What a moment for the group.

7. Kenny Rogers, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Jennifer Nettles

Kenny Rogers was given the Lifetime Achievement Award, but not before Jennifer Nettles, Rascal Flatts and Darius Rucker sang his biggest hits, including 'Islands in the Stream.'  The whole crowd singing along was great!
