Get ready to see a lot of Ryan Fitzpatrick under center for the New York Jets.

He's the default winner of whatever quarterback competition existed between he and Geno Smith, after Smith was 'sucker-punched' in a locker room dispute on Tuesday, ESPN reports.

"It was nothing to do with football. ... It was very childish," coach Todd Bowles said. "He got cold-cocked ... sucker-punched, whatever you want to call it, in the jaw. He's got a broken jaw, a fractured jaw."

Other reports indicated the 'fight' had something to do with Smith sticking his finger in the face of reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali.

If you response was: 'Who??', don't worry you're not alone. It was mine, too.

Enemkpali was the Jets sixth round pick in 2014. He's from Louisiana Tech, played in six games last season and made a whopping three tackles.

Smith is expected to be sidelined for six to ten weeks. Bowles said later that Fitzpatrick is now the starter, adding that Smith is guaranteed playing time when he's set to return.

Needless to say, Enemkpali was released by the team shortly after the incident.
