Yes, these late "Frog Days Of Summer" have seen big increases in gas prices. On my way to Big Frog 104 today, I paid $3.91 for regular.

Here are the details from our sister station, WIBX:

"Gas prices have entered uncharted territory.

AAA’s Ed Welsh says prices have never been this high at this time of the year.

Welsh says the average price for a gallon of gas in the Utica-Rome market is $3.89 cents, an increase of 36 cents over the past seven weeks.

Welsh says we should see some relief at the pump after Labor Day when the summer driving season ends and the switch from summer blend to winter gas begins.

The average nationwide price is $3.71 a gallon."
