City of Rome, NY (WIBX) – Borrowing a page from Utica…the City of Rome is rolling out its own Mayor’s Charity Ball.The announcement comes from Mayor Joseph Fusco, who says the inaugural event will be held in October at The Beeches Inn & Conference Center in Rome.

He says local officials, civic leaders, business owners and many others will come together for an evening of entertainment to raise money for a good cause. The goal is to help fund the restoration of the Rome Capitol Theatre in memory of Anthony D’Arcangelo.

Tickets for the October 6, 2012 event are $50 and are available in the Mayor’s Office in Rome’s City Hall, The Ridge Street Depot and at the Capitol Theatre. For more information, or to make reservations, call (315) 337-0177 or (315) 337-6453.
