Perfectly timed with the next break at CNY schools, Cornell Cooperative Extensions' 4-H Youth Development will host Science Days.  Fun and educational programs that can give the kids something to do other than complain they're bored.  And they don't have to be 4-H members to participate.

4-H Science Days are for students in grades 3-6.  They offer programs April 25th through the 27th, and kids can attend any sing day or all three days.

Monday April 25th

Youth will learn about New York State Wildlife from DEC officials and the Utica Zoomobile.

Tuesday April 26th

Susan Sady’s cooking school will be teaching the youth how to make their lunch of stuffed shells. Then in the afternoon with assistance from JoAnne Getchonis, Cornell Biological Field Station youth will be learning about the plants animals and dinosaurs that inhabit Oneida Lake.

Wednesday April 27th

Spend the day learning about the plants, animals and fish that inhabit a coral reef, as well as the invasive species that are threatening this underwater ecosystem. The day is full of hands on creative activities such as design a fish and build a miniature submersible.

2016 Science Days will be held at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oneida County, 121 Second St., Oriskany, NY on April 25th, 26th and 27th from 9am to 3pm each day. The cost is $20 per a day for 4-H members and $25 per a day for non-4H members. If you register for all three days you will save $5.00.  You may register for 1 day or all 3 days. Lunch is included.
