Just a brief recap on my Utica College "Homecoming Alumni And Family Weekend"- it was a fun-filled fall weekend. Even though the Utica College Pioneers lost to Ithaca College in last Saturday's football game(a close one, 26 - 21 final score), it was just such a rewarding experience enjoying friends, classmates, former professors and the beautiful outdoor backdrop of the UC campus atmosphere and football field.

And get this, I wandered into the stadium 10 minutes before game time and actually got a seat in the first row on the 50 yard line! When I came back after half-time, my seat was still waiting for me. Now that's football fan courtesy!

Which got me to thinking, even though you may not be an alumnus of one of our area colleges, you can attend their home football games, and usually at a very affordable ticket price.

Here are a couple of area college homes games this Saturday:

Utica College hosts Buffalo State, Sat, Oct. 26, Game time: 2:00p.m.

Morrisville State College hosts Montclair State University, Sat, Oct. 26, Game time: 12 noon

It's just nice to be outdoors on a college campus during autumn in central New York!
