Three Ft DrumMilitary Moms’ are racing across America in 'The Great Food Truck Race’ on the Food Network, premiering Aug. 17th.

We met so many incredible people. They were so drawn to our truck. When we were in a public location with all the trucks, people would come to us

Michele Bajakian, Carol Rosenberg and Wendy Newman are one of eight teams racing  their food trucks into a new city where they spend a weekend cooking and selling their creations. Whichever team makes the least amount of money each week is sent home. The last team standing wins the $50,000 grand prize and gets to keep their truck.

The military moms say they got a lot of attention on the race thanks to their pink camo truck. 'Everyone else on the race knew our truck was the best looking truck.'

While running the food truck race, the moms put modern twists on classic comfort foods, including peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. 'We grill it and use fresh berries and homemade peanuts. It's divine. If you've never had a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich, you don't know what you're missing.'

The pink camo truck allowed the military moms to run into a number of different people. 'We met so many incredible people. They were so drawn to our truck. When we were in a public location with all the trucks, people would come to us.'

People were not only drawn to the truck, they were drawn to the military moms and wanted to share their stories. 'It is real America. It is real people with real stories that will tug at your heart strings.'

Wendy, Carol and Michele say they had the time of their life and would do it all over again. 'It is the most crazy, intense, fun, wild trip.'

Who should we be keeping an eye on this season? 'Nobody other than us and the pink camo truck.'

The Great Food Truck Race premieres on Sunday, August 17th at 9pm on the Food Network.
