Frogfest Memories-”2000″

Since I am the only member of the Big Frog staff to have experienced all twenty-something FrogFests I was asked if I could post a few of my recollections. I’ll give it a go. You see, at my age I have trouble remembering what I had for breakfast this morning much less what happened at a FrogFest 20 years ago. However there are a few things that do stand out. Take that FrogFest back in 2000.The weather was iffy but, as usual, Big Frog listeners were not to be deterred. The cozy gathering of some 10-12, ooo country music fans made themselves comfortable, unfurled their umbrellas from time to time and settled in for a day of great music. Our headliners were a new group out of Nashville who were riding high with their first hit, something called “Praying For Daylight”. When they took the stage the crowd had thinned out a bit because of the rain but the boys put on a great, energetic show that gave those who did stay a glimpse into the greatness that lay ahead. The group? Can you say “Rascal Flatts”!!
