Football Watching Etiquette For Females

The big game is only days away. Whether you're hosting a Super Bowl party or attending one, there are a few things ladies need to keep in mind to avoid any arguments.

1. Don't expect the attention to be on you.
The game is the most important thing in the room, so watch it and cheer like everyone else.  This is the one day its acceptable for your man to ignore you all day.

2. Don't ask questions mid-play
Wait until the replay or a commercial break to ask what's going on.  Or stay quiet and go with the flow.  You wouldn't like it if a guy was asking silly questions during the finale of 'The Bachelorette' would you?

3. Don't block the TV - Ever!
Sit on the side or stand in the back.  Especially if you aren't that interested in the game. Leave the prime seating for the people actually into football.

4. Don't wear rival colors
Dress appropriately, depending on the team your party is rooting for.  You may be kicked out before you even get in the front door if you have on a hat from the team everyone hates.

5. Avoid girl talk
Don't discuss about shoes and shopping in the middle of the action. If you're not interested in the game, move your conversation to the kitchen with the other women.  You get to talk about your passions every other day of the year.  Leave this day to men(and some women) and their sports.

6. Don't be the obnoxious drunk
Pace yourself, drink water, and eat lots of chicken wings or pizza to offset the day drinking. Don't make the mistake I made last year and drink the alcoholic energy drinks.  I only had 2 and was out in the snow at halftime, playing with the dog.  And I hate snow!
