Tonight marks the first of three presidential debates, when President Barack Obama will share the stage with his opponent, Governor Mitt Romney. The debate gets underway at 9:00 p.m. from Denver, Colorado, and will be moderated by PBS "Newshour" anchor, Jim Lehrer. I know the debate will be on our TV in the Greg "Splashin'" McShea household.

Here are the details of tonight's debate, according to 2012 presidentialdebates.com:

"The debate will focus on domestic policy and be divided into six time segments of approximately 15 minutes each on topics to be selected by the moderator.

The moderator will open each segment with a question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the topic."

Tonight's debate will be televised on most major TV and Cable networks. The one and only Vice Presidential debate takes place next Thursday, October 11th.
