First Niagara Branches In Utica/Rome Now KeyBank

When First Niagara banks opened for business on Tuesday morning, they were KeyBank branches.  KeyCorp has purchased Buffalo based First Niagara for $4.1 billion.

According to the First Niagara website, customers are able to use their First Niagara checks and credit and debit cards with no change in routing or PIN numbers.

KeyBank has also added 350 people at its customer contact centers to handle questions about the change.  The Buffalo News reports that the average wait time for callers is only seconds.  The number is 1-800-539-2968.
