The NFL season is off to an exciting start as two New York teams battled it out Sunday. Mark Sanchez lead the Jets to a 48-28 beating of the Bills, which may leave some Jets' fans saying Tim who? Sanchez threw for 3 touchdowns in the win, while Shonn Greene lead the rushing attack with 94 yards and a touchdown. Tim Tebow saw just 5 carries for 11 yards in his Jets regular season debut. Despite allowing 28 points, the Jets defense looked as strong as ever as they forced 4 turnovers. The Jets jumped out to a 21-0 lead and never looked back.

Bills' fans were given an injury scare as star running back Fred Jackson was knocked out of the game in the first half. Jackson, who missed the final 6 games last season, has been diagnosed with a strained lateral collateral ligament. ESPN reports Jackson will undergo an MRI later today.

Elsewhere, the New England Patriots got off to a quick start beating the Tennessee Titans 34-13, while Peyton Manning made his debut in Denver with an impressive 31-19 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers. For a full roundup of Sunday's action click here.
