A new sub fast food chain is coming to Syracuse. Coming up Labor Day of 2015, Firehouse Subs will be making it's way to Syracuse at 5308 West Genesee Street in Camillus.

Curious about the name? Syracuse.com explains that the chain got its start in Florida in 1994 with a pair of former firefighters. They are actually brothers: Chris and Robin Sorensen.

The company specializes in hot subs, but has cold options as well. The menu includes items like the Firehouse Meatball, Smokehouse Beef & Cheddar Brisket and New York Steamer."

We may see some of the chains expand more in Syracuse and the Utica area. The chain is looking for three more locations in the area.
