A reminder to all who may be traveling through downtown Utica this Sunday morning, several streets and highways will be closed while the demolition of the Fay Street Warehouse is taking place.

The State Department of Transportation says State Routes 5, 8, and 12 north and southbound will be closed from Burrstone Road to the interchange of I-790.

State Route 5A east and westbound will also be closed from Whitesboro Street to Cornelia Street and only local traffic will be allowed between Whitesboro and Schuyler Streets.

The DOT says all city streets will be blocked off within 1000 feet of the demolition site.

The road closings will be between the hours of 4 and 11 a.m.

Signed detours will be posted to direct traffic around the demolition site.
