Father’s Day Plans

It seems like there is a standard list of activities for Mother’s Day. We give mom flowers, a gift certificate to her favorite store and take her out for breakfast, dinner or both. However Father’s Day seems to be devoid of any standard list of things to do. Sometimes the family will do something together, sometimes dad and the kids will go off to do something fun or sometimes we just let dad kick back and relax. With Father’s Day less than 24 hours away here are a few suggestions.
1) Breakfast in bed. Cook up his favorite breakfast meal and don’t skimp on the portions. His diet can wait.
2) Watch one of his favorite old TV shows with him. It may not be your cup of tea but he’ll enjoy showing you what “good shows” there were.
3) If musically inclined write him a short song or just a short personal poem.
